For people who get a new idea every five minutes

You’ve had two ideas
since you opened this page.

A to-do app where the list you actually keep is the Not to do list. Three focus slots. Everything else gets written down and left alone, so it stops taking up room in your head.

No account. No server. Nothing leaves your phone.

the to do no list

Not another to-do app. A place for the ideas you’re choosing not to do right now.

Focusing is about saying no. It is not about picking what to do, but rejecting good ideas to protect great ones.

The problem

Every new idea has a price.

  • 01 A new project
  • 02 A new responsibility
  • 03 Another context to switch into
  • 04 Another reason to feel behind

Capture apps happily take all of it. They reward you for collecting, then hand you a backlog you will never finish. This one is built to do the opposite.

How it works

Three slots. That’s the whole limit.

01

Name what actually matters

Up to three focuses. The number doesn’t move, because a limit you can raise isn’t a limit.

02

Capture it, then answer one question

Type it or say it out loud. The moment it’s saved, the app asks the only question that matters:

Will you build it?

03

“Not now” is a real answer

Say not now or maybe someday and it’s parked - out of your head, safe on the list, and counted. Say never and it’s gone for good. Say yes and you don’t simply add it; you open a slot by deciding what you’ll stop doing.

Nothing you drop is deleted. A demoted focus goes back on the Not-to-do list, where good ideas can wait without costing you anything.

Every yes begins with a no.

  • The most productive thing you can do is decide not to do something.
  • Success is a collection of things you didn’t start.
  • Your future is built by the opportunities you ignore.
  • A good idea at the wrong time is just a distraction.
  • You don’t lose for lack of ideas. You lose for having too many.

Your ideas are yours

Not a vault. A layer.

This app sits between the chaos in your head and the tools you already use. Select any ideas and take them out as a ready-made AI prompt, Markdown, plain text, a Notion table, JSON or CSV.

Six prompt templates ship with it - Sort my ideas, Find patterns, Challenge my focus, Find the one worth saving, Weekly review and Reality check - and every one of them ends with the same instruction to the model: don’t talk me into starting more.

Copy for AI
Below is a collection of ideas I deliberately
decided not to pursue right now.

Please:
1. Group similar ideas.
2. Identify recurring themes.
3. Point out ideas that conflict with my
   current priorities.
4. Highlight any idea that may be worth
   reconsidering.
5. Do not encourage me to start more projects
unless there is a strong reason.

My current focus:
- Build the dog-walking app (day 12)
- Learn how to make a shelf out of oak (day 3)

Ideas:
- Ship the iOS app
- Start a podcast about productivity
- Create a newsletter for founders
- Learn Rust
- Build a tool for animal shelters

Say it out loud

Record an idea in a breath and forget it. Voice notes cap at a minute - long enough for a thought, short enough that it stays a note.

A number worth keeping

The counter tracks every idea you wrote down and left alone. Not a streak. Just how many things you safely parked.

No account, ever

No sign-up, no sync, no server. Everything lives on the device, which is why there’s nothing to leak.

Quiet by design

Your focuses are the only high-contrast thing on screen. No badges, no streaks, no notifications begging you to come back.

The most productive thing you can do
is decide not to do something.

Coming to iOS and Android.
